Members of Visitation Academy Pope France National Junior Honor Society are dedicated to the following five pillars:
I. Scholarship Students must have an A in all subjects to be invited to join the Honor Society and must maintain an A in all subjects to remain a member in good standing
II. Service This involves voluntary contributions made by a student to the school or community,
done without compensation.
III. Leadership Student leaders are those who are resourceful, good problem solvers, and idea
contributors. Leadership experiences can be drawn from school or community
activities while working with or for others.
IV. Character The student of good character is cooperative; demonstrates high standards of honesty and reliability; shows courtesy, concern, and respect for others; and maintains a clean disciplinary record.
V. Citizenship The student who demonstrates citizenship understands the importance of civic engagement; has a high regard for freedom and justice; respects the U.S. form of government; respects the law for all citizens at the local, state, and federal levels; and demonstrates mature participation and responsibility in activities such as scouting, community organizations, or school clubs.
New members are chosen in the fall based on the previous year’s academic
record. The induction ceremony typically takes place in during Catholic Schools
Week. Members meet monthly, and volunteer at a variety of Visitation Academy
and community events.

NJHS BY LAWS
The National Junior Honor Society participated in a WALK-A-THON to raise funds for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Visitation families have been donating and have raised over $2,500 to date for their service project.
