It is so hard to believe that this school year has ended! We praise and thank God for the gift of this school year. It has been a time filled with grace and blessings, with challenges and opportunities, joys and sorrows. Many, many prayers have been offered for our surrounding communities and friends.
We have had a busy and exciting year! Looking over the year we have: Instituted a new reading/writing program for our students, started new after school clubs, had a volleyball and track team, completed our Middle States study and revised the curriculum to add more science labs, writing rubrics, and service projects in our community. We created "Caine's Arcade" and enjoyed a middle school play. We learned and prayed together and celebrated many accomplishments!
Next year: We have new and exciting things happening! We are going to institute a new Maker Space in our school so that students will have a hands-on learning experience with technology, robotics, art, and engineering! We are looking into new Math and Science programs to strengthen our Math and Science curriculum and adding different clubs and after school opportunities for our students. We will incorporate a new Homework Club after school in addition to our After-Care program and are looking into adding additional sports teams.

What is Jude’s Arcade? The Middle School students have made a life size Caine’s Arcade as part of their STEM Project enjoyed by all! Ann Oro from the Archdiocese was very impressed by the creativity and understanding of STEM by our students. Jude's Arcade included 27 LIFE SIZE games made up of RECYCLED MATERIAL!
MIDDLE STATES RE-ACCREDITATION THEME...PILLARS OF CHARACTER. Visitation Academy promotes a Pillar of Character each month. Our prayer is that by instilling these character traits in our students Visitation Academy will create a “culture of kindness” and a positive school climate making Visitation a safe environment for students to learn.
As a Catholic School graduate, you know the value and enduring benefits of a Catholic education: academic high standards, personal motivation, and a strong spiritual foundation. By embracing modern technology and retaining our core values, Visitation continues to thrive. With your help many, many more students can enjoy the benefits of our school. Imagine what we can accomplish if you and other alumni are involved!
....As my study at Felician comes to an end, I have to say that Visitation Academy is the best school that I had ever been placed in as a student teacher. From the moment that I walked into the school, I felt I was welcomed by everyone, including the parents. This is exactly what happens in the Gospel when Mary visits her cousin, Elizabeth. From this perspective, I would say that the community of the Visitation Academy really lives up to its name.
